We hosted a wonderful boy from Ukraine over Christmas. His younger brother was unable to come with him as planned. He became part of our family immediately and fit right in with all of our goofy ways. My youngest daughter just adores him and is by his side all the time.
Hello, please allow us to introduce ourselves. We both grew up in the area, Chad in Wacousta; graduating from GrandLedgeHigh School and Lori in Westphalia, graduating from Pewamo-Westphalia. We now live in Fowler with our family, where our youngest children attend WaldronElementary School.
Currently, there are two darling young boys that are waiting patiently in Ukraine for our family to come get them.We were blessed to host one of the boys this Christmas and truly fell in love with him.The younger of the two was unable to come but even though we haven’t met him in person, we have fallen in love with him as well.We are holding a benefit auction to raise money to adopt these two wonderful boys. Please consider bidding on one of these wonderful items. The proceeds from this event will help fund our adoption.
Both boys have an amazing gift of drawing. The first gifts that we received from the boys were drawings. They enjoy fishing and our host boy spent hours outside fishing in our pond and playing outside in the snow as it got colder. Those that met our host boy while he was here raved about what a wonderful boy he is.Sending him back to Ukraine was one of the hardest things we have ever had to do!We sent a piece of our hearts with him.
The Sad Facts…without intervention upon leaving the orphanage at the age of 16 years old, 60% of girls will end up in prostitution, 70% of boys will be on the streets or in jail, and 15% will commit suicide with the first two years on their own.YOU can revolutionize the life of an abandoned child.
We have limited funds for the adoption (which will cost us approximately $30,000), but we have deep faith that God will provide for the boys and bring them home to us.Thank you to everyone that has helped us make our wish come true!
